Here’s what I’ve been up to since 2013!
BoPo Bootcamp & DISCOaerobics – Wild & Well Festival
October 2018
Two sessions run as part of the “Move” and “Explore” strands of this inaugural, weekend-long wellness festival in Central Bristol. I created and instructed a BoPo (Body Positive) Bootcamp with Cat Taylor at Nudge in the grounds of Ashton Court Mansion, and created and taught a DISCOaerobics class (think 80s aerobics meets 70s Disco tunes) at the M-Shed in Bristol.
Mind Body Love Pop-Up Workshop Weekender
February 2018
Two workshops run over two days in Weston Super Mare and Bristol to help you harness some self love over valentines weekend. We worked up a sweat during my GLOW aerobics class, melted into Jenna Owen Yoga‘s FLOW vinyasa yoga class and took some time to re-evaluate our priorities during a guided workshop (over tea and cake of course).
Women’s March on Bristol
January 2017
Officially recognised sister march as part of the global Women’s March on Washington movement on 21st January 2017. I planned this at my kitchen table in 72 hours and led the 2,000 person-strong march. I’m overwhelmed and proud to have given a city a voice on a global stage and executed something I feel so incredibly passionate about: Equal rights. We appeared in many national press articles including The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, Bristol 24/7, ITV News, The Bristol Post, The Sun and BBC Points West News. (With huge gratitude to Kelly Pike at Folk PR).
BodyHAPPY, a Body Confidence pop-up
October 2016
Planned and hosted BodyHAPPY, a confidence pop-up event at Printworks Kitchen, London, where we showcased Fitology, The Viking Method, Amy Newton PT and Dietitian Fee. An empowering, confidence building and fantastic day where we discussed physical fitness, digestive health and mental mindset to make our attendees feel love, respect and happiness towards their brilliant bodies!
Sweat Like a Girl
(Run with Bella Kinesis at Hot Yoga Society)
June 2016
A special class to introduce potential new or nervous newbies to hot yoga. We welcomed around 20 first timers come along for the taster and it was a gorgeous, positive class!
3/60 challenge at FitMiBody
(Run with Elizabeth Kerr)
April 2016
A challenge to complete 3 classes in 60 minutes and boost social media presence for this new boutique London studio on social media, via industry influencers. We are proud to have been called “the loudest group to ever enter the studio”- the energy was super high for a sleepy Sunday morning!
‘Run Like a Girl’ monthly running club for women
(Co-founded with Bella Kinesis)
2015/2016
“Run Like a Girl” started in summer 2015 and continues in London with a new leader as I now live in Bristol! Our running club is a free, safe, inclusive and gentle-paced 5k round a park or city-route in London, where girls who might feel nervous about running or haven’t done much before can come along and meet some new friends. We’re proud to have been the place several girls decided to pop their running cherries!
Although Project HB relocated now, the running club continues. Bella Kinesis, publish details of future runs HERE.
Yoga For Every Body
(Run with &Breathe Yoga)
November 2015
In November 2015, founder of &Breathe Yoga and I decided we wanted to bring yoga to those who “didn’t do yoga”. We came up with Yoga For Every Body, and 18 of you popped along to a super-special, relaxing and inclusive class at Yotopia in covent Garden. We hope we made it fun, less nerve-wracking, and that you’ll be back for more in 2016!
The Sunset Sessions
(Run with Lucyoga)
July/August/September 2014
(As featured in Time Out and The Londonist). In summer 2014, the incredibly talented Lucy, founder of both Lucyoga and Rooftop Yoga Peckham joined forces with little old me, Project HB, to create something pretty special. Introducing…. the Sunset Sessions!
Every Monday from July through to late September, we hosted sold-out rooftop yoga sessions and featured in Time Out. Classes were taught by guest teachers on the beautiful Rooftop Yoga Peckham space. You joined us in your hundreds for some some sweating, stretching and soul-sparking joy to watch the sun set over a panoramic view of our beautiful city.
We felt so privileged to give such a huge number of you reason to smile on your Monday nights. Thank you to everyone who made it happen! You can read more about the experience by CLICKING HERE.
Fitness 5 Challenge
May 2014
When Peckham fitness studio Victor’s Lab opened it’s doors to HBs everywhere as we took on the Fitness Five challenge in May. Five fast and furious classes, showcasing some of the most unique on offer in London at the moment. We enjoyed a stretch, an arm balance, a purple juice, an upside down swing and 4 minute of the most intense exercise we’ve ever endured. My ass cheeks hurt the next day. They hurt for a week, I’m not gonna lie.
Have a read to see how we managed to survive by clicking HERE.With thanks to our teachers Free Hot & Happy girl’s bootcamp, Yoga Barre London, Antidote London, Toni Osborne, Aerial Yoga, Happy Healthy Hoops and PT Kate!
Project HB and Kate at Form Fitness Retreat
May 2014
One of my lovely friends Kate (PT and founder of Form Fitness) and little old me at Project HB ran our first fitness retreat back in May 2014! And we invited straight-talking and talented nutritionist Claire Stone along, too. Think bootcamps, nutrition, cooking classes, yoga, relaxation, friends and beach in a big country retreat all to ourselves. It was, quite frankly, glorious.

Project HB Networking Night
March 2014
THANK YOU to all of you lovely ladies who came along to the very first Project HB Networking Night. A few (ladylike) glasses of wine were enjoyed, and I heard conversations about hooping, kangoo jumping, yoga, pilates and crossfit. Love how so many varied interests and passions all came together! We all headed home at a reasonable hour, ready for those Friday morning fitness classes- HURRAH for waking up sober on a Friday!
A huge THANK YOU as well to Vivo Taste, for hosting us. Let me know how you all get along working your way through those Fitness Class Cheatsheets! For those who missed it, you can get your hands on a complimentary copy HERE.
be local. be islington
February 2014
Project HB is incredibly proud to be one of the 25 local Islington organisations taking part in this year’s Lululemon Athletica Islington community initiative: “be local. be islington.” The idea behind the movement is giving something back to the people of Islington without expecting anything in return- just because they are lovely and flippin’ well deserve it!
Launch day was on Saturday 8th Feb and Project HB teamed up with Boxing Yoga™ to offer a free BoxingYoga class as our gift to Islington…
